Growing up as an only child in southwest Wisconsin, much of my time was filled with reading. I have loved books for as long as I can remember and always dreamed of writing one. Without an idea of the kind of book or type of story I wanted to tell, I figured that dream would stay just that, a dream. As the years went on, my interests changed, and I began to find a love for the human body and helping children. This led me to earn my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and work as a pediatric Physical Therapist. For almost a decade since, I have wanted to write a children’s book that highlighted many of the common and uncommon struggles my patients and their families face on a daily basis.
Now as a wife and mother to three young children, I find one of our favorite things to do is to go to the library and see what new books we can find. I love reading with my children and find myself enjoying the stories as much as they do.
I’m excited I’ve been able to combine my two passions with this book, Molly’s Big Score.
